How can we use Weebly for our classes? 1. A bank. A place to store all powerpoint materials, documents and links which I find worth the share. It's all good to have a place to go to and find all your relevant materials in - as opposed to my fat hard drives with loads of information and not much mapping. |
2. A resource for our students.
A resource for your students when they're away from you, that is.
If they need to look through lessons again - but are not in school for some reason or another - they can simply go to the website.
If they need to access worksheets used in class - perhaps practice by doing it again - they can download it from the site, print it at home and practice at home, too.
If they want to use specific StudyBlue flashcards for specific lessons, I have buttons that will directly bring them to the flashcards they need.
Truly, Use #2 is my main reason for having a website.

3. A resource for your students' parents. Some parents are pretty hands-on educators, too. Some appreciate knowing (and seeing!) what their children are exposed to in school. This is one avenue I use to show them what's happening in my classroom. For fellow educators, this site has helped me a lot as a deflector for the question: What did my child learn in class this week/term/semester? I just send parents to this site so they can peruse it on their own and use it as they review their children on the lessons they learned. |
5. Document class activities.
This is a new feature/adventure. I'll be putting together a blog on what happens inside my classroom and the way I infuse technology into our lessons. You can find this feature under the "An Open Classroom" tab. :)
